Strong Euro |
|
For over 18 months, we have experienced a
dramatic increase in the exchange rate of
the US dollar versus the Euro. The following
table illustrates the strength of the Euro
versus the dollar since June of 2002: |
| June

1 Euro (EUR) = 0.93440

|
Thus far, the US Government has not taken
steps to strengthen the value of the dollar
against the Euro for several reasons. As
long as the US inflation rate remains low,
the weak dollar improves our trade deficit
and makes US made products and services less
expensive to European customers. Therefore,
the weak US dollar makes US products and
services more attractive to international
markets. This is great news to our clients
who market their products overseas. |
|
However, the weak dollar presents a
challenge for the localization industry as
well as for 4Translation. The weak dollar
impacts direct costs for language resources
since we use native speakers for your work. Over the past few months, we
have seen a gradual increase in the rates
from our translation partners throughout the
world. Consequently, the overall cost for
European languages will increase given the
strength of the Euro. |
|
Despite the fluctuation in currency -
4Translation's commitment stands stronger
than ever to provide you, our client, with
the best service and pricing possible. We
will continue to use professional, native
speaking translators and continue our strong
partnerships with our overseas translators. |
|
Overall, we believe the strong Euro will
allow our clients to sell more products and
services to foreign markets. Therefore, the
increase in overall revenue will help offset
the incremental increase in the cost of
localization services. |

rates or would like us to update pricing
